The Institute for Voter & Civic Engagement stands as a pivotal force in Houston’s Third Ward and surrounding communities. Our mission is to enhance understanding and participation in the electoral process and civic life among students, faculty, staff, and local residents. By developing and facilitating events and fostering partnerships with community members, civic organizations, political groups, businesses, and corporations, the Institute aims to cultivate a robust sense of belonging and engagement in democratic processes. Our efforts are dedicated to strengthening the civic fabric of our city, state, and nation.
